Well, to chase away those gloomy January clouds, we are taking a little sojourn to Morocco this week. Not sure how much in the way of vintage there will be, but am happy to browse their markets for silver and leather tinkets instead! Scarlet will still be open for business, but we won't be available to buy any pieces on Wednesday, but you are welcome the following week and thereafter.
Looking forward to next vintage fair at the Assembly Rooms, Bath. We haven't been for ages (as shoppers, not sellers!) so it will be good to see who's there and how its progressing. Think that's 23rd January-date for your vintage diary!
Also enjoying my subscription to Vintage Life magazines, everything a girl could want in the way of vintage information-hair, make up, clothes, drinks etc etc! Worth the subscription price, those little mags are packed with info!
Anyhoo, better run as its nearly closing time and i have hoovering to do....now where's my vintage floral pinny...?

The Shining (of the sun!)
Oooo am loving the sunshine in Bath at the moment, the buildings look so lovely, lessons outside i think today kids!
We have some fab stuff coming through the doors as well, a gorgeous 1950's ballgown, (in Scarlet of course!), all netted skirts and beaded bodice, just gorgeous! Also got a fairly nifty BIBA top in, which, although not from the orginal era, still super cool. We're also in a bit of a New York state of mind with our SATC2 themed wall-what would the girls pick if they ventured into Scarlet and had a route through the rails...
We definitely need to fast track the expansion of the shop as we are getting so many goodies coming in now.
The stylish women of Bath certainly have some cool wardrobes and they're not afraid to share them luckily!
Come see for yourself!

Er...hello?
Mmm, all very new to this, so not sure quite how it works-but will get the hang of asap! Scarlet Vintage opened in December 2009 and its soooo much fun! Get to meet lots of interesting people that flock to Bath to see the architecture and the shops and get to play with some FABULOUS clothes! Lots of ladies in and around Bath have fabulous wardrobes and like to have a clear out every now and again..and that's where Scarlet comes in! The basis of the collection was sourced around the world whilst i was still flying for that Big Airline, but the rest of it changes frequently as more and more people come to us to sell their wares! Lots of fun and as it gets hotter it gets busier!
